Weather has sure taken a toll on our school calendar. To date, we have had to cancel school six times district wide, with one of our schools having a seventh day off due to loss of power. In light of these cancellations and with the uncertainty of the weather over the next couple of weeks, we will be changing our March 23rd Professional Day (teachers only) to a regular student day. Since March 23 is a Friday, we will have the regular early release, beginning at 1:30 at the high school. Thank you ahead of time for your patience and understanding.
At the RSU #24 Board of Directors meeting on Feb 6, 2018, the Board voted unanimously to include the middle school grades (6-8) as part of the new building project. There was optimism expressed by the board and by several in the audience that this move is in the best interest of our students. This is an important milestone in the project and will allow us to move forward with the new building process.
At the RSU #24 Board of Directors meeting on Feb 6, 2018, we took time to recognize Henri Gignoux who will be leaving his post as a board member. Henri has proudly represented the town of Steuben since August of 2012 and has worked hard for the students of RSU #24. Thank you Henri for your years of service.
