I’ve been teaching 3rd to 8th graders at Mountain View for many years now. I currently teach 4th grade math and science. I’m excited to be part of a school where there is a community of staff members who truly care about each other and our students and parents who support the school in various ways.  I team teach with Misty Houlsen who teaches 4th grade ELA and social studies.

I use Responsive Classroom and Restorative Justice practices & techniques with students to help them build community, structure, and routines which support our school adopted PBIS. My intent is for students to create a learning atmosphere built on respect for their peers so they can all achieve their goals.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Maine at Machias. I have 3 grown children Jonathon, Sheila, and Claire and 5 grandchildren Natalie, Rihanne, Ellie, Jackson, and Opal. I'm blessed to have all of them living in Maine now. My daughter Sheila has come back to live in Maine with her family from Fiji.
