Tara Peterson 5th Grade ELA / Social Studies

I graduated from University of Maine Augusta with a degree in K-8 General Education.I have worked with special education for several years as an Education Technician III. I worked with families in behavioral health and education for more than fifteen years. I have three children of my own, my eldest is a Marine veteran, my middle is attending her first year of college , and my youngest is in sixth grade. I love the outdoors. I can often be found meandering in Acadia or the woods in Washington County, where my mother's family is from.  I am passionate about helping kids build the confidence to work to the best of their ability by providing structure and support. I am excited about being part of the Mountain View family and working with the community. Communication between school and home is the best way to help your child access their best education.
