Meet our new PreK Teacher!!
Hello Mountain View families! I’m Amanda Tracey and after a wonderful 24-25 school year at MVS as Mrs. Beal's teacher assistant, I’m beyond excited to begin a new chapter at Mountain View as the new PreK teacher! I’ve always had a passion for working with young children because I believe this age is when the magic of learning begins. Seeing those "aha!" moments when kids discover something new, whether it’s recognizing their first letter or learning to work together as a team is honestly one of the most rewarding experiences.
I’ve spent several years in early childhood education and each day brings something new and exciting. I aim to create a warm, fun, and nurturing classroom where children feel safe to explore, ask questions, and develop a love for learning. I believe in a hands-on, play-based approach where students learn best through creative activities, storytelling, and building meaningful relationships.
When I’m not in the classroom, I love to hike, beach comb with my partner, craft, and curl up with my doodle on a Sunday morning with coffee and my kindle. I find that these little joys outside of school help me bring even more energy and creativity into my teaching.
I’m so excited to meet the new families and kiddos I’ll have the pleasure of working with this year and seeing a few familiar faces, too, and to partner together in making this a year full of laughter, growth, and discovery!
