Parent/Teacher Conferences are being held soon. It's important to connect with your child's teacher(s) to find out their successes and challenges! Call the office to set up an appointment. PK/K and 2-5 held on Nov. 12th, PK-5 on Nov. 13th, and 1st grade only on the 14th.

"I live in Ellsworth with my husband and 10 chickens. I raised four kids, now grandmother to eight fantastic grands. I came to MVS in 2014 and over the years taught kindergarten, first grade, and visual arts. I took a year off and am ready to be back teaching!
We are all people, we are all learners, and we learn together. We question, we discuss, we seek evidence, and we draw conclusions. This is the heart and purpose of the classroom. My hope for this school year is that my students will leave at the end of the school year feeling capable, smart and valued. I can't wait to meet the second grade cougars and work with my Cougar Family!"

Hello, MVS Cougars! I am Steven Calderon and I'm originally from Wyoming. I moved to Maine in 2008 to attend Husson University. After graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education, I was a BHP in the Bangor area for 5 years. I then moved to Jackman Maine, where I taught K-12 Health and Physical Education for another 5 years. I am very excited to join the RSU 24 community and share my enthusiasm for health and wellness. I enjoy activities like bowling, disc golf and camping in my free time. I am looking forward to meeting new people and having an excellent school year!
